{"id":32524,"date":"2023-04-14T10:18:47","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T08:18:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.schneider.im\/?p=32524"},"modified":"2024-06-09T15:53:02","modified_gmt":"2024-06-09T13:53:02","slug":"microsoft-azure-hybrid-benefit-use-rights-changes-for-windows-server","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schneider.im\/lu\/microsoft-azure-hybrid-benefit-use-rights-changes-for-windows-server\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Azure Hybrid Benefit use rights changes for Windows Server"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Effective April 1, 2023, Microsoft revised and simplified the Azure Hybrid Benefit (AHB) use rights for Windows Server.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For Windows Server, Microsoft<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>eliminated the requirement that customers allocate licenses in packs of eight,<\/li>\n<li>eliminated the requirement that customers allocate 16 licenses before they begin using AHB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All other requirements remain unchanged, which includes the condition that the number of licenses required should correspond to the number of virtual cores present in the VM.
