In April 2024, Citrix<\/strong>, a business unit of Cloud Software Group, and Microsoft<\/strong> have announced an eight-year strategic partnership<\/strong> to bring joint cloud solutions and generative AI to more than 100 million people. The collaboration aims to strengthen the go-to-market strategy for the Citrix\u00ae virtual application and desktop platform and support the development of new cloud and AI solutions with an integrated product roadmap.<\/p>\n

As part of the agreement, Cloud Software Group<\/strong> will make a commitment to <\/strong>the Microsoft cloud <\/strong>and its generative AI capabilities<\/strong>. This partnership is set to invigorate one of the industry\u2019s most durable alliances between Citrix and Microsoft.<\/p>\n

Under the partnership, Citrix<\/strong> is the preferred Microsoft Global Azure Partner solution for Enterprise Desktop as a Service<\/strong> when collaborating with joint Azure customers. The companies will jointly support customer success, offer tailored solutions, expert guidance, and support to accelerate customers\u2019 cloud journeys.<\/p>\n

Citrix<\/strong> will leverage Microsoft Azure<\/a> as <\/strong>its preferred cloud solution<\/strong>, providing Citrix customers with the comprehensive benefits of the Citrix platform<\/a>, complemented by Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. The collaboration will also create deeper paths to modern procurement options through Azure Marketplace, where customers can easily evaluate, expand, or renew Citrix solutions.<\/p>\n

The partnership is expected to accelerate productivity and new innovations in AI. Cloud Software Group\u2019s<\/strong> engineering organizations are deploying GitHub Copilot to all their engineers<\/strong> with the goal of increasing developer productivity by over 20%. Spotfire, a Cloud Software Group business unit, recently announced a new Spotfire Copilot\u2122 extension built on Microsoft Azure OpenAI service<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
