On February 28, 2025<\/strong>, Adobe <\/strong>Transactional Licensing Program (TLP<\/strong>) and Cumulative License Program (CLP<\/strong>) will retire<\/strong>. These decisions mark a significant shift in Adobe\u2019s licensing strategy<\/strong>, impacting customers across all market segments.<\/p>\n

Adobe TLP and CLP Retirement<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Adobe Cumulative License Program<\/strong> (CLP<\/strong>) is a buying program with perpetual licensing through a 2-year agreement<\/strong>. The Adobe Transactional License Program<\/strong> (TLP<\/strong>) offers perpetual licensing for one-time purchases of desktop products<\/strong> \u2013 with no contracts.<\/p>\n

Adobe is retiring TLP and CLP<\/strong> on February 28, 2025<\/strong>. Adobe wants to fully transition<\/strong> to a<\/strong> subscription-based licensing model<\/strong>, instead of the former perpetual licensing model. Adobe VIP (Value Incentive Plan) Marketplace <\/strong>(more below) will serve as the new platform for managing customer commitments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What is Adobe VIP Marketplace?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

VIP Marketplace<\/strong> is the evolution of VIP. The Admin Console<\/strong> will continue to allow organizations to manage their users<\/strong> as well as the addition, assignment, and reassignment of Adobe licenses <\/strong>for VIP Marketplace<\/strong>. There are the same volume discounts<\/strong> depending on the number of licenses as in VIP<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
