Effective July 1, 2024, there are new purchase minimums<\/strong> for Dataverse Database Capacity <\/strong>within Microsoft Power Platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is Microsoft Dataverse?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Microsoft Dataverse<\/strong> is a cloud-based data management platform<\/strong> that is part of the Microsoft Power Platform<\/strong>. It allows users to securely store and manage data<\/strong> used by applications<\/strong> built on the Power Platform<\/strong>, including Dynamics 365.<\/p>\n

What is Dataverse Database Capacity?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dataverse Database Capacity<\/strong> refers to the storage space allocated for data<\/strong> within Microsoft Dataverse<\/strong>. It includes storage for relational data, files, and logs<\/strong>. Therefore, there are i.) Dataverse Database Capacity<\/strong>; ii.) Dataverse File Capacity<\/strong>; and iii.) Dataverse Log Capacity<\/strong>. These have a basic capacity<\/strong> and can be supplemented via <\/strong>storage capacity add-ons<\/strong>. Basic capacities vary based on the different Power Platform products.<\/p>\n

When you\u2019re running low on storage capacity<\/strong>, you have several options<\/strong>: 1) Free up storage<\/strong>; 2) Delete unwanted environments<\/strong>; 3) Purchase additional storage capacity<\/strong> to meet usage requirements, which is done through storage capacity add-ons<\/strong>. For these storage capacity add-ons, especially Dataverse Database Capacity, there are new minimum purchasing requirements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Purchasing minimums refer to the minimum number of licenses that must be purchased to access additional database storage. The Purchasing Minimums table<\/strong> now includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
