On December 10, 2024, Cohesity<\/strong> merged <\/strong>with Veritas<\/strong>‘ enterprise data protection business. This combination makes Cohesity the largest data protection software provider globally and protecting hundreds of exabytes of data.<\/p>\n

What happened?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Cohesity announced it has acquired the enterprise business of Veritas. Hence, Cohesity combines with Veritas\u2019 data protection business<\/strong> to create a new leader in the data security and management market, maintaining under the name of Cohesity<\/strong>. At the same time, Veritas\u2019 InfoScale, Data Compliance, and Backup Exec businesses<\/strong> was spun-off to form a separate company, now called \u201cArctera<\/a><\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n
