In contrast, <strong>Capacity Packs<\/strong> provide a fixed number of credits per month; if you don\u2019t use all those monthly credits, they typically don\u2019t carry over to the next month. The Pre-Purchase pool removes that month-to-month limitation, as all prepaid credits remain available until the end of the year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Comparison to Existing Options:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pay-As-You-Go:<\/strong> With PAYG, you have <strong>no upfront cost<\/strong> and pay <strong>$0.01 per Copilot Credit<\/strong> as you consume them. Pay-as-you-go remains best for very low or uncertain usage, while capacity packs fill the need for moderate, consistent usage. The Pre-Purchase Plan fills the gap for <strong>large-scale, variable usage<\/strong> scenarios.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cross-Platform Use and Governance:<\/strong> Credits bought under the Pre-Purchase Plan can be <strong>used across different Copilot services<\/strong> (such as the Copilot Studio agent platform, Dynamics 365 built-in AI agents, and Microsoft 365 Copilot features). This unified approach can simplify tracking and management. The Pre-Purchase credits are also <strong>eligible for Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC)<\/strong>.
