The Fixed Lifecycle Policy applies to many commercial and some consumer products currently available through retail purchase and\/or volume licensing. It provides:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A defined support and servicing Lifecycle timeline at the time of product launch<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of five years Mainstream Support<\/li>\n<li>An additional period of Extended Support for some products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">What is the Extended Support phase of Microsoft products?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Extended Support phase follows Mainstream Support.
