This is an\u00a0<strong>end-of-sale action only<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>There is\u00a0<strong>no automatic migration<\/strong>\u00a0to non-WHB SKUs; existing subscriptions\u00a0remain\u00a0on WHB at renewal unless the customer chooses to change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The change is paired with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schneider.im\/lu\/microsoft-windows-365-business-20-price-decrease\/\"><strong>20 percent (%) list price decrease<\/strong><\/a> on Windows 365 Business. Because the <strong>WHB discount was up to 16% off the old list<\/strong>, the <strong>new non-WHB list price is now cheaper than the WHB rate for every configuration<\/strong>. Existing WHB customers keep continuity at renewal, while a manual migration to non-WHB unlocks the lower price.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What is changing?<\/h2>\n<p>On\u00a0<strong>May 7, 2026<\/strong>, Microsoft announced that\u00a0<strong>Windows 365 Business SKUs with Windows Hybrid Benefit (WHB)<\/strong>\u00a0have been\u00a0<strong>retired from sale<\/strong>\u00a0to simplify the Windows 365 Business portfolio. From\u00a0<strong>May 1,\u00a02026<\/strong>\u00a0onward,\u00a0<strong>new customers can no longer\u00a0purchase\u00a0these SKUs<\/strong>, as Microsoft removed them from the price list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Windows Hybrid Benefit<\/strong>\u00a0is the discount that lets customers with a\u00a0<strong>qualifying Windows 10 or Windows 11 Pro license on their physical device<\/strong>\u00a0run a Windows 365 Cloud PC at a\u00a0<strong>lower per-user price<\/strong>. Additional\u00a0capacity must be\u00a0purchased\u00a0on a\u00a0<strong>non-WHB Windows 365 Business SKU<\/strong>\u00a0(now at the new lower list price)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For\u00a0<strong>new customers and customers who want to switch to a non-WHB SKU<\/strong>: there is\u00a0<strong>no automatic migration<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>no in-place technical migration<\/strong>\u00a0between WHB and non-WHB SKUs. Although the new non-WHB SKU is now priced lower, staying on WHB avoids re-provisioning Cloud PCs and user disruption. In-place technical migration isn&#8217;t supported. This is the right trade-off when migration cost outweighs the per-seat saving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Buy new capacity on the non-WHB Windows 365 Business SKU<\/strong>: for\u00a0additional\u00a0users or new tenants, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.schneider.im\/lu\/microsoft-windows-365-business-20-price-decrease\/\"><strong>20 percent (%) lower list price<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on Windows 365 Business narrows the gap with WHB and\u00a0<strong>removes the Windows Pro entitlement requirement<\/strong>\u00a0on the physical device.\u00a0This effectively provides <strong>20% discount, which is a higher discount than what the WHB provides<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Plan a manual migration from WHB to non-WHB<\/strong>: this is the case for customers\u00a0consolidating\u00a0SKUs or aligning with the simplified portfolio.
