Effective December 1, 2025, Microsoft launched Microsoft 365 Copilot Business worldwide, a new plan that brings enterprise-grade Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) at a lower price point. This plan delivers the same features as the existing Microsoft 365 Copilot service for enterprises, capped at 300 users, and it can be added to Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard, or Premium subscriptions or purchased as a bundle with those plans.
Until March 31, 2026, Microsoft is also offering promotional pricing for certain plan combinations.

What is Microsoft 365 Copilot Business?
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is an AI-powered assistant designed to boost productivity for companies with up to 300 users. In essence, it extends the Microsoft 365 Copilot experience – previously available to large enterprise customers – to the SMB segment. Copilot Business integrates seamlessly with the familiar Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Users can ask the AI to perform tasks such as drafting emails, summarizing documents, creating presentations, analyzing data, or generating meeting recaps, all within the apps they already use. The aim is to help employees save time and work more efficiently by offloading routine or time-consuming tasks to an intelligent assistant.
Licensing
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is offered to organizations that subscribe to Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard, or Premium.
You have flexibility in how to acquire it:
- Add-On License: If you already have a Microsoft 365 Business plan, you can buy Microsoft 365 Copilot as an add-on for the users who need AI capabilities. This keeps your existing setup, simply augmenting it with Copilot for those users.
- Bundled Plans: Microsoft also provides bundled offerings where you can purchase a Microsoft 365 Business plan together with Microsoft 365 Copilot Business in one package. Bundles are available for Business Basic + Copilot, Business Standard + Copilot, and Business Premium + Copilot. This option might simplify procurement and ensure you get both the core apps and the AI features at once.
The Microsoft 365 Copilot Business add-on or bundled plan can be applied for up to 300 users in your organization – consistent with the Microsoft 365 Business licensing limits. Microsoft has positioned it as more affordable than the enterprise Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Promotional offers
To help customers get started with AI, Microsoft has introduced several introductory promotions (available December 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026 for eligible commercial customers):
- 15% off Microsoft 365 Copilot Business – This promotion provides a 15% discount on Microsoft 365 Copilot Business licenses purchased as add-ons. It’s ideal for organizations that want to add Copilot to their existing Microsoft 365 Business subscriptions. The discount is automatically applied at purchase for any customer with up to 300 users on Microsoft 365 Business plans.
- 35% off Microsoft 365 Business Standard + Microsoft 365 Copilot Business bundle – This is a bundle deal offering 35% off the combined price when buying Microsoft 365 Business Standard together with Microsoft 365 Copilot Business. It applies to annual subscriptions for deployments between 10 and 300 users. Essentially, if you opt for Microsoft 365 Business Standard plan and include Microsoft 365 Copilot Business for those users, you receive a significant discount on the package.
- 25% off Microsoft 365 Business Premium + Microsoft 365 Copilot Business bundle – Similarly, this bundle promotion gives 25% off when purchasing Microsoft 365 Business Premium together with Microsoft 365 Copilot Business for 10 to 300 users on an annual subscription. This helps organizations that need the added security/features of Business Premium plus AI capabilities to get both at a reduced cost.
These promotions are applied automatically for eligible customers at the time of purchase.
All three offers are time-limited, running from the launch date through the end of March 2026.
