Effective October 12, 2022, Microsoft Azure Hybrid Benefit (AHB) is available for Azure Stack Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
AHB for Azure Stack HCI is a new benefit for customers with Windows Server Datacenter licenses with Software Assurance (SA) purchased through an Enterprise Agreement (EA). It is an extension to the Azure Hybrid Benefit and waives the fees for the Azure Stack HCI host service and Windows Server guest subscriptions, as long as all physical cores of the Azure Stack HCI cluster are licensed with Windows Server Datacenter Core licenses.
AHB for AKS is a new benefit for customers who have Windows Server licenses with active SA or bought as Software Subscriptions through the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. This is an extension to the Azure Hybrid Benefit and will allow customers to use the Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) on Windows Server and Azure Stack HCI at no extra cost.
These two new versions of the Microsoft Azure Hybrid Benefit come as additions to the existing AHB for Windows Server VMs on Azure.
