What is Microsoft Entra ID Governance?
Microsoft Entra ID Governance is an identity governance solution that helps organizations manage and secure access to their resources. It automates the identity and access lifecycle, ensuring that the right people have the right access to the right resources. Features include:
- Identity Lifecycle Management: It automates creating and maintaining user identities based on signals from HR systems, allowing new employees to be productive from day one and ensuring access is removed when they leave the organization.
- Access Lifecycle Management: It manages access to services and applications, both on-premises and in the cloud, by automating access assignments, reviews, and removals.
- Privileged Access Management: It secures privileged access for administration, protecting, monitoring, and auditing access to critical assets.
- Compliance and Regulation: It helps organizations meet compliance requirements by managing and verifying controls for managing access.
Microsoft Entra ID Governance provides tools for organizations to balance productivity and security, automating tasks related to identity management and reducing risks associated with access to critical information and systems.
