Adobe Acrobat Standard and Pro naming changes, product enhancement & price increase

Acrobat name changes and new capabilities

Effective August 8, 2022, the new Adobe Acrobat Pro and Standard are available. This complete all-in-one PDF and e-signature solution enables secure, effortless productivity and collaboration plus integration with leading business applications such as Microsoft Office. It allows users to seamlessly create, convert, edit, share, and sign PDFs.

As Adobe removed “DC” moniker from its Acrobat Pro DC and Acrobat Standard DC applications, these are now titled “Acrobat Pro” and “Acrobat Standard”. With this renaming, there come additional features and price increases.

This new Acrobat Pro offering is upgrading from the individual version of Acrobat Sign with a 150 transactions limit for Acrobat Sign transactions to the small and medium businesses version of Acrobat Sign with unlimited Acrobat Sign transactions. Also, the Acrobat Standard offering is upgrading from the 150 transactions fair use limit to unlimited transactions for Acrobat Sign transactions.

Existing customers get new features on a rolling schedule from August 8, 2022, completing September 30, 2022. New customers benefit from new product features since August 8, 2022.

Acrobat Pro price increase

Any new customers as of August 8, 2022, pay about 40% more for an Acrobat Pro license.

For existing customers (who had at least one active Acrobat Pro subscription license by August 8, 2022,) the price increase of about 40% becomes effective July 1, 2023. The new pricing applies to contract renewals and reorders of licenses you make on or after July 1, 2023. Existing 3-year-contract customers will continue to receive their pricing through the completion of their 3-year term.
