On November 22, 2023, Broadcom announced that it has completed its acquisition of VMware.
The acquisition of VMware expands Broadcom’s portfolio of software solutions and enhances its position as a leader in the cloud, data center, security, and edge computing markets. VMware’s cloud-native platform, which includes VMware Cloud Foundation, VMware Tanzu, VMware NSX, VMware vSphere, and VMware vSAN, complements Broadcom’s infrastructure software offerings, such as Symantec Enterprise Security, CA Technologies, and Brocade Networking. Together, Broadcom and VMware will deliver integrated solutions that address the complex challenges of today’s hybrid cloud environments and provide customers with greater choice, flexibility, and efficiency.
