Microsoft 365 Basic replaces OneDrive Standalone

Effective January 30, 2023, the Microsoft OneDrive Standalone plan becomes Microsoft 365 Basic. It includes the same 100GB of cloud storage as well as ad-free and secure email with Outlook. Existing customers will automatically be transitioned at the end of January.

Advanced security features will also be added later in 2023. These include ransomware recovery and password-protected sharing links in OneDrive.

Microsoft 365 Basic is not relevant to commercial customers but is designed for personal use.
