Effective February 1, 2024, Microsoft Intune Enterprise App Management is included in the Microsoft Intune Suite at no additional cost. It also becomes available as an individual add-on to Microsoft subscriptions that include Intune.
What is Enterprise App Management?
Microsoft Intune Enterprise App Management is a new solution that simplifies how organizations package, deploy, and update third-party apps. It offers a secure, pre-packaged catalog of apps that reduces the time and effort IT administrators spend on app management. It also enables IT teams to efficiently deploy fixes to vulnerable apps and ensure that all apps are kept up to date from the Intune admin center.
The Microsoft Digital Defense Report shows that according to Microsoft, 78% of devices are still unpatched nine months after a critical security update – a risk that this new solution aims to mitigate.
Benefits of Enterprise App Management:
- Easy management: A catalog of pre-packaged first- and third-party apps reduces the effort for packaging and updating apps.
- Fast deployment and update: IT teams can efficiently respond to vulnerabilities and keep all applications up to date through the Intune Admin Center.
- Access to an extensive catalog: The catalog offers a variety of Microsoft and third-party applications, including language packs and different architectures.
