Microsoft Power Apps license request by makers

Microsoft Partner - SCHNEIDER IT MANAGEMENT

Since May 9, 2023, makers can now proactively request Power Apps premium licenses for their app users. The term “makers” refers to the individuals who create and develop applications using Power Apps.

Requesting Licenses as a Maker

To request licenses, makers can access the option during the app share experience. The ‘Request licenses’ banner will only be visible when sharing an app with premium capabilities.

Makers can select this option to initiate the license request process. Makers are not obligated to request licenses before sharing the app with users.

Managing License Requests as an Admin

Admins will receive notifications for incoming licensing requests on the Microsoft 365 Admin Center home page, where they can approve or reject multiple user requests simultaneously.

Additionally, admins can continue using their organization’s custom license request process and configure the necessary settings within the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
