Effective March 31, 2025, Microsoft has officially renamed Copilot for Finance to Finance Agents. This change reflects a broader shift toward autonomous, agent-based capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
Why the Name Change?
The new name—Finance Agents—better represents the evolving functionality of the solution. It is no longer just a Copilot that assists; it now includes autonomous agents that can execute tasks on behalf of users, such as financial reconciliations.
Also, the Data Reconciliation feature of Copilot for Finance has been renamed Financial Reconciliation agent to reflect its agentic capabilities.
