Effective January 1, 2022, Microsoft Teams Phone with Calling Plan is available and purchasable through SCHNEIDER IT MANAGEMENT as your Cloud Solution Provider (CSP). It can be added to Office 365 Business Essentials, Business Premium, A1, E1, A3, E3; and Microsoft 365 Business, A3, E3.
Microsoft Teams Phone with Calling Plan is a cloud-based phone system which allows users to make, receive, and transfer calls to and from landlines and mobile phones on the public switched telephone network (PSTN) in Microsoft Teams.
The Teams Phone SMB (Microsoft 365 Business Voice) and Enterprise (Teams Calling Essentials) bundles are being consolidated into a new offering named Teams Phone with Calling Plan. Note, that Microsoft 365 Business Voice will be phased out on February 28, 2022.
Microsoft Teams Phone with Calling Plan includes only a phone system and a domestic calling plan, and Audio Conferencing functionality (previously available as part of Business Voice) will be part of all Teams-inclusive Microsoft 365 and Office 365 products (as opposed to being an add-on feature) starting on March 1, 2022.
Therefore, until June 30, 2022, customers can add Audio Conferencing to a Microsoft 365 or Office 365 subscription for free for up to 12 months.
