On July 1, 2024, Microsoft launched Windows 365 Cross Region Disaster Recovery. This new feature is an add-on for Windows 365 Enterprise, designed to enhance business continuity and disaster recovery for Cloud PCs.
What is Windows 365 Cross Region Disaster Recovery?
Windows 365 Cross Region Disaster Recovery is an add-on for Windows 365 Enterprise that enhances business continuity by creating snapshots of Cloud PCs. These snapshots are placed in customer-defined, geographically distant locations, and they can be quickly recovered to Cloud PCs running in the selected location during a disaster recovery event. It is easy to configure and activate, even for those without prior experience, and includes integrated reporting to keep administrators informed about the status of each Cloud PC. This feature is particularly beneficial for organizations that are highly regulated, or that need geographic separation between primary and backup locations.
