Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection for Servers available

Effective April 1st, 2020, Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) for Servers is available for Enterprise Agreement (EA) and Enterprise Subscription Agreement (EAS). Microsoft proposes this offer as an option for reduced functionality at a lower price point that can be purchased consistent with Microsoft Windows Enterprise E5 for endpoint protection.

For enhanced cloud workload protection for servers, Microsoft Defender ATP for Servers customers can upgrade to Microsoft Azure Security Center Standard. This provides additional features like adaptive application controls, just-in-time virtual machine access, file integrity monitoring, and unified experience for protecting Azure resources. It also offers additional values such as future integration with Azure Arc.

Microsoft Office 365 Cloud App Security Standalone Licenses Removal

Microsoft announced the removal of the Office 365 Cloud App Security standalone offering from the pricelist.

  • Existing customers will see no changes for the remainder of their current enrollment term and may continue to add new Office 365 Cloud App Security standalone licenses.
  • Customers with enrollments expiring on or before June 30, 2019, will have the option to renew Office 365 Cloud App Security standalone for one more term.
