Effective January 1, 2022, commercial, government, education, and nonprofit organizations will not be able to buy new or renew software licenses, Software Assurance, or online services through the Open License program anymore. Until then, all customers can continue to purchase products through the Open License program, although we recommend buying through Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) and Open Value (OV) instead.

Microsoft announced the removal of the Office 365 Cloud App Security standalone offering from the pricelist.
- Existing customers will see no changes for the remainder of their current enrollment term and may continue to add new Office 365 Cloud App Security standalone licenses.
- Customers with enrollments expiring on or before June 30, 2019, will have the option to renew Office 365 Cloud App Security standalone for one more term.

Starting April 1, 2014, Windows Intune will be available in the Volume Licensing Updated Open Programs, Open License, Open Value and Open Value Subscription.
Starting May 2014, all new and renewing Volume Licensing agreements with Software Assurance will no longer include TechNet Subscription services benefits. Microsoft will continue to honor all TechNet Subscriptions for existing Software Assurance customers until the expiration of their current term of Software Assurance coverage or May 31, 2017, whichever is earlier.
