In June 2025, Microsoft has introduced a new Copilot Studio Agent Usage Estimator, that helps organizations forecast how many messages their AI agents might consume each month—based on how the agent is configured and used. While not a pricing calculator, it offers valuable guidance for planning and budgeting Copilot agent deployments.
What is the Copilot Studio Agent Usage Estimator?
With the new estimator, organizations can now:
- Forecast monthly message volume for a single Copilot agent.
- Adjust inputs based on licensing, agent type, traffic, and features used.
- Understand how different configurations impact message consumption.
- Make informed decisions before deploying agents at scale.
What does it output?
The estimator provides an estimate of the total number of messages your agent might use per month, based on the inputs you provide. Each message is priced at $0.01*. For example, if your agent is estimated to use 20,720 messages in a month, that would translate to approximately $207.20.
