Effective January 1, 2024, Veeam increases prices of most Veeam products by 10%.
Which products are affected?
This price increase will affect most Veeam products. Most probably, Kubernetes and Salesforce related Veeam products will not be affected. Which products exactly will increase in price will only be communicated in the price lists from January 1, 2024.
How high will the price increase be?
It will be about 10% for new purchases of affected products. However, it remains unclear, what the price increases for renewals will look like.
Why are Veeam increasing prices?
To align with Veeam’s continuous enhancements and to become more predictable, consistent and easier to do business with, Veeam will be implementing small, predetermined incremental price increases at the first of each year or next contract extension or upgrade.
What should I do now?
If you are an existing Veeam user or contemplating Veeam as your backup & replication tool, we recommend the following:
1) Early Order: Consider making an early order before January 1, 2024. You will profit from legacy pricing.
2) License count: Already take your new hires for 2024 into account and increase the license count accordingly.
3) Upgrade to subscriptions: Veeam would also like to point out the values of upgrading to a subscription module, such as Veeam Universal License Subscription (VUL). Benefits include:
- Lower upfront costs: Better adhere to budget and plan accordingly.
- Same product: Receive the exact same product with the same benefits and features as with perpetual licenses.
- Current versions: Migrating to new subscription licenses can help to keep you on the current versions of vendor products, while profiting from flexibility according to changing workloads.
