What is changing?
On July 1, 2026, Microsoft introduces Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot and Microsoft 365 Business Premium with Copilot. These plans combine Microsoft 365 productivity apps, Copilot artificial intelligence (AI), and security in a single package built for small businesses.
Copilot is built into the apps teams already use, rather than added as a separate tool. It connects to business systems and data, and it operates within the security controls an organization has already set.
What is Microsoft 365 Business with Copilot?
Microsoft 365 Business with Copilot is a set of small-business plans that include Microsoft 365 apps, Copilot AI, and security in one subscription. Copilot is embedded in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, so assistance appears inside daily work. Within the Microsoft ecosystem, these plans extend the existing Microsoft 365 Business lineup by adding Copilot and connected business context as standard.
Licensing note: Copilot is included in the plan rather than purchased as a separate add-on.
