Microsoft Scout is not yet generally available. It is offered as an experimental release through Frontier in private preview, and requires Frontier enrollment, Microsoft Intune configuration, an opt-in attestation, and a GitHub Copilot license.

What is changing?
Microsoft is introducing a new category of agents called Autopilots. Unlike assistants that respond to single prompts, Autopilots stay active in the background, operate with their own identity, and take action without being prompted each time. You interact with Scout in Teams and extend its reach through the desktop app to your browser, local resources, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Scout is powered by OpenClaw open-source technology and built with enterprise-grade security and controls.
