Oracle Java 21 available

Effective September 19, 2023, Oracle has announced the release of Java 21, marking a significant update to the world’s leading programming language and development platform.

The new version introduces a host of performance, stability, and security enhancements, including 15 JDK Enhancement Proposals (JEPs). These improvements stem from various OpenJDK projects such as Amber, Panama, and Loom, offering advancements like String Templates, Record Patterns, and Virtual Threads.

Java 21 is designed to boost developer productivity and foster innovation within organizations. It also extends commercial support for a minimum of eight years, allowing customers to migrate at their own pace. Additionally, Oracle has responded to user feedback by extending long-term support for Java 11 through at least January 2032, ensuring continued updates and support.
