What is changing?
Progress is aligning its licensing more closely to real usage across two product areas. On the file transfer side, new and expanded stock keeping units (SKUs) cover entry-level needs, resilience options, and longer support terms. On the digital experience side, Sitefinity AI introduces a consumption-based model for AI-powered features.
All changes reach general availability on July 1, 2026. The updates mainly introduce new options for new purchases, expansions, and renewals.

Automate MFT: a new entry-level Foundation tier
Progress introduces a new Foundation tier for Automate MFT. It targets customers with lower usage requirements and improves competitiveness with software-as-a-service (SaaS) alternatives. For your organization, this means a lower entry point for managed file transfer without paying for capacity you do not need.
MOVEit: new resilience and support options
- New MOVEit Transfer SKUs add high availability to a disaster recovery and non-production license
- New MOVEit Automation SKUs add failover to a disaster recovery and non-production license
- New ability to upgrade from Standard to Extended Support for existing customers
WS_FTP Server: tiered licensing and longer support
- New tiered license SKUs aligned to what the customer actually needs
- Expanded multi-year and Extended Support SKUs, including upgrade paths from Standard to Extended Support
Sitefinity AI: a token-based consumption model
Progress introduces Sitefinity AI as the umbrella offering for all AI-powered capabilities in Sitefinity CMS, supported by a new model built around Sitefinity AI Tokens. The token model aligns pricing with actual AI usage, which matters as AI agents and Dynamically Generated Experiences (DGE) drive more variable, autonomous consumption.
Two new SKUs become available for both Sitefinity Cloud/SaaS and self-hosted customers:
- Sitefinity AI with 10M Sitefinity AI Tokens
- Additional Sitefinity AI Tokens (in allotments of 50M)
To unlock the latest AI capabilities, customers are encouraged to upgrade to the latest version of Sitefinity CMS and adopt a decoupled frontend architecture.
Sitefinity SharePoint Connector retirement
Progress is retiring the legacy Sitefinity SharePoint Connector following Microsoft’s changes to SharePoint authentication and the end of support for SharePoint 2019. All SharePoint Connector SKUs will be deactivated and unavailable for new sales or renewal. The supported path forward is IntegrationHub (Workato)-based integrations.
