Effective January 1, 2023, Microsoft Power Automate supports two hosted Robotic Process Automation (RPA) scenarios to enable organizations to set up and scale automation. 2024-05-01: Hosted RPA was renamed to Hosted Process.
Users can run RPA desktop flows either with human interaction (attended) or without (unattended).
The new options offer individual hosted machines for attended or unattended RPA aimed at users who want to build, test or run automation. Alternatively, there is a hosted machine group option for unattended RPA which offers automatic scaling and dynamic load balancing.
From a licensing perspective, you need to acquire a Hosted RPA Add-on license for as many bots as you want to run concurrently, and this license has a prerequisite of either the Power Automate Per User with Attended RPA license or a Per Flow license.
