In 2026, a list of Microsoft products, for example Microsoft Office Apps from 2016 and 2019, will reach their End of Support on scheduled dates. Hence, there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates.

What is the Fixed Lifecycle Policy of Microsoft?
The End of Support of these products happens according to the Fixed Lifecycle Policy of Microsoft. The Fixed Lifecycle Policy applies to many commercial and some consumer products currently available through retail purchase and/or volume licensing. It provides:
- A defined support and servicing Lifecycle timeline at the time of product launch
- A minimum of five years Mainstream Support
- An additional period of Extended Support for some products.
